Use it as a check wherever the VISA logo is displayed, or use it as an ATM card. Look at these advantages.
  • Use the credit side of the card at merchants for making purchases at stores or ordering online. Use it the same way you would use a credit card wherever Visa is accepted.
  • Use the debit side of the card at NYCE, Accel/ Exchange, and Plus ATM machines to withdraw money from your account. You can also use the card to make deposits and verify balances.
  • Keep track of your purchases and transactions. A detailed listing of transactions appear every month on your statement.
  • A checking account is not required. The card can work on your savings account.
  • Pay a low annual fee of $16.00.
  • No annual fee if your member account has a Sunrise Checking, Money Market Savings or Money Market Checking account (Excluding IRA Money Market Accounts).
  • No annual fee if your member account has a combined balance of $2,500 between your Primary Savings, Other Savings, Checking Account, Other checking account, Christmas Club, Vacation Club and Certificate of Deposit (Excluding IRA Money Market and IRA Certificate of Deposit).

Some important things to keep in mind when using the Visa/ ATM check card:

  • When making purchases at a merchant, we recommend using the credit side of the card instead of the debit side. Using the debit side of the card too many times in a calendar month will cause a POS fee to be charged on your account. Use the debit side at the ATM machines.
  • Because of the extended holds that can be placed on your account, we do not recommend using the card at hotels and car rentals. If possible, use a credit card instead.
  • Before you can use the card, you must first use the card at an ATM machine and ask it for a balance. Once you have done that, your card will be activated and can be used at merchants and to do transactions at ATM machines.
