- Savings Account: All members are required to have a Primary Savings Account in order to be a member of UFCW of America FCU. The $25 minimum balance is required to keep the account open. It is not a fee; it represents your share of the credit union. It is not available to clear checks, Visa check card transactions, or complete any other type of transaction. If you close your account, you will get the $25 back.
- Checking Account: UFCW of America Checking accounts are your alternative to high checking fees and service charges at other financial institutions. There is no minimum balance and no monthly fee. Overdraft protection is automatically set up to overdraft to the savings account.
- Sunrise Checking Account: This special checking account is for members who are at least 50 years old. In addition to all the features of a regular checking account, the Sunrise Checking account allows you avoid the annual Visa/ ATM Card fee and allows you to get free standard checks.
- Money Market Account: This low activity account allows you to earn a higher interest rate than a regular savings and checking account. You can choose from either a Silver Money Market or a Gold Money Market. You can also choose between either a Money Market Savings or a Money Market Checking. Our tiered structure allows you to earn increasing levels of dividend returns for greater amounts of investment. A Money Market account also allows you to avoid paying the annual Visa/ ATM Card fee and allows you to pay 1/2 price on standard checks (Money Market Checking only).
- Vacation Club Account: This is a special account for those who want to save money towards a special vacation. There are no weekly deposits required and no schedule to follow; deposit any amount whenever you want! The money is transferred to either your Checking or Savings Account on March 31. There is a fee for early withdraw or closeout.
- Christmas Club Account: This account can be used to save up money for the holiday season. There are no weekly deposits required and no schedule to follow; deposit any amount whenever you want! Money in the Christmas Club Account is transferred to either your Savings or Checking Account on September 30 of each year. There is a fee for early withdraw or closeout.
- Certificate of Deposits: For as low as $1,000, you can open up a CD and choose from a variety of terms. These savings devices earn a higher interest rate than a Savings or Checking account. Once your CD matures, you have a 10-day grace period in which you can withdraw funds from it. Any early withdraws are subject to a penalty.
- Car/ Boat/ RV/ Motocycle Loan: These loans can help you buy a car, boat, RV, or motocycle.
- Savings/ Certificate Secured Loan: This type of loan involves putting up your funds as collateral. Once the loan is paid off, you get those funds back.
- Home Equity Loan: This loan draws money from the equity in your home.
- Overdraft Loan: This type of loan is used to prevent your account from being overdrawn.
- Unsecured Loans: This type of personal loan can be used for a variety of purposes.
